The Software Technology and Applications Competence Centre (STACC) is R&D organisation where companies can access expertise in (big) data analytics and co-develop visionary technology products in this field. STACC was established in 2009 with the mission to conduct applied research in cooperation with a consortium of scientific and industrial partners.
Main research areas
STACC has four strategic development areas:
- Data Analytics for Software and Systems Optimization: we develop and apply data analytics methods to identify optimization opportunities in largescale software-intensive systems;
- Spatio-Temporal Data Analytics: data analytics of spatio-temporal data collected through GIS, LBS, GPS devices, web traffic information;
- Big Data and Security;
- E-Health and Personalised Medicine: big data analytics across a vast body of digital healthcare information.
